Members of our special interest groups Digital Photography and Genealogy organise low cost field trips on a regular basis.  These vary from visits to family history museums and societies to wandering the streets for photo opportunities. We’ve been to:

  • Rookwood Cemetery
  • Luna Park
  • Hyde Park Barracks
  • Cockatoo Island
  • 3-D printing shop
  • Australian Maritime Museum
  • State and Mitchell Libraries
  • Q & A at the ABC studios
  • Hunter Gardens
  • Australian Society of Genealogists
  • Luminosity Festival in Parramatta
  • and more.

The club tries to keep excursions very low cost, using the $2.50 excursion ticket wherever we can. Where public transport is not suitable, we encourage car sharing. The trip to the Hunter was a one off, by wheelchair accessible coach. Members are encouraged to bring their partners.
